What is it and why is it important?

On Sunday February 28th, Savannah‘s Perry Lane Hotel will host the second Southern Wedding Showcase. The low-key personal feel of the event is in contrast to the big convention center wedding shows, and with good reason; the Southern Wedding Showcase team want to build connections.

In beautiful hotel surroundings with complimentary cocktails, gift bags for brides and offers from local wedding professionals that won’t appear anywhere online, the event is a chance for brides-to-be to speak in person to over twenty wedding professionals serving the Savannah and Lowcountry areas, to make real in-person connections that can’t be found searching through website after website.

In the wake of the Covid-related troubles we’ve endured over the last year, there’s a new found optimism growing in the wedding industry as inquiries climbed during this engagement season, but vendors continue to report huge interest in elopements and ‘micro-weddings’. The appetite for big just hasn’t quite returned, not for everyone, not yet.

That’s where the Southern Wedding Showcase excels. Just over 100 brides with time-allotted tickets will speak with over 20 local wedding professionals, with bridal dress boutiques, hair & makeup artists, photographers, florists, videographers, cake designers and more all excited to just have a calm and unhurried chat with brides-to-be and their plus-ones and twos, and to see how we can help.
