I Made South Magazine’s Greatest Professional Photographers List!

In May 2020, shortly after moving from England to Savannah, I was honored to be included in South Magazine’s Greatest Professional Photographers. The magazine’s contest received more than 2,500 votes before its top professional photographers were announced. At such an early point in establishing my photography career in the United States, to be voted in such an established magazine as one of the best photographers in the region meant an enormous amount to me.

Before moving to America, I had spent a decade working in the commercial fashion and marketing industry in Britain and Europe. As an assistant and retoucher, I contributed to campaigns for luxury international brands including Chanel and Louis Vuitton, and Condé Nast and Hearst publications including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, working alongside exceptional photographers and creative teams and eventually getting a Vogue photography publication of my own. That experience shaped my understanding of color, composition and an attention to detail that still influences my work today.

My career has continued to evolve since this article was first published. I’m now a Houston wedding photographer serving couples here, in Austin, throughout Texas and for destination celebrations across the United States.

My approach combines documentary wedding photography with an editorial approach to your wedding portraits. I photograph the genuine emotion, energy and relationships that unfold naturally throughout a wedding, while also offering calm direction when a portrait or carefully considered composition calls for it. The result is a gallery that preserves both the human story of the celebration and the beauty, fashion and design that made it distinctive.

My current services include complete wedding-day coverage, multi-day celebrations, rehearsal dinners and welcome events, engagement sessions and bridal portraits. Wedding photography runs in my family, and it remains a privilege to create photographs that couples and their families will return to for generations.

Being named among South Magazine’s greatest professional photographers remains a meaningful chapter in my story. My home and my career have changed considerably since 2020, but the purpose behind the work has remained the same: to be the best photographer I can be, to photograph people honestly, beautifully and with genuine feeling.
